Dr. Dustin Cole Joins Grand River Health’s team of Specialists

It is with great pleasure Grand River Health in Rifle announce the addition of Dr. Dustin Cole to Grand River Health’s team of Specialists. Dr. Cole is an Interventional Spine Specialist and is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Pain medicine.

Dr. Cole received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico in 1997, and went on to graduate from Medical school at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine in 2006. He went on to conduct his PGYI residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has spent the majority of his career practicing medicine in Western Colorado both in Cortez and Glenwood Springs. Dr. Cole has been Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 2012, as well as Pain Medicine from the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2013. When asked about treating pain, Dr. Cole says he likes to help the people help themselves. “I focus on improving function rather than focusing on the pain. I meet patients where they want to be”. Dr. Cole has written several articles on topics such as Aging Successfully, Living with Chronic Pain and Managing Low Back Pain.

Dr. Cole lives with his family in the Roaring Fork Valley. In their free time, the Coles take advantage of the great outdoors and love to hike, bike, canoe, raft and hunt. He also serves on the Board of KDNK Public Radio in Carbondale.

Dr. Cole will begin seeing patients at Grand River Health in Rifle on July 30th.
