This week’s speaker will be Ellen Baker, a licensed speech-language pathologist. She works with children from birth through adulthood to learn how to understand and use language. She also helps children with feeding or swallowing issues. In today’s early language session, we will learn how to talk to our babies in a way that stimulates language development. We will go over what is considered to be typical development for understanding and using language. We will also talk about indirect language stimulation, a technique that takes the pressure off of little talkers and helps them to make their language more complex.
There is no cost to attend the group and there is no need to sign up – just show up!
