Ellen Baker, M.A., CCC-SLP


Undergraduate degree in communication disorders from Utah State University

Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Northern Colorado.

Ellen has practiced privately, in the schools, in skilled nursing facilities, and through home health.  She holds her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).  Ellen enjoys working with both the adult and pediatric populations.  She has additional training in cognitive and linguistic therapy for neurodegenerative illnesses, swallow rehabilitation (dysphagia), and is a trained Vital Stim provider.  Ellen is also a Certified Academic Language Practitioner through the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA), allowing her to provide targeted multisensory reading therapy for children who struggle to learn to read.  Ellen looks forward to helping the Rifle and surrounding communities through the Grand River Rehabilitation Department.
