Nikita Sullivent, Nutritional Services Manager, and Drew Schelling, RDN, CLC, Clinical Dietitian accepted a banner from CDPHE in recognition of our gold-level commitment to the Colorado Healthy Hospital Compact.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) recently recognized Grand River Health for achieving gold-level status as a partner of the Colorado Healthy Hospital Compact. The compact is an agreement by hospitals that share a mission to protect and promote the health of hospital patients and their families, visitors and staff. Grand River Health was acknowledged for its exceptional commitment to ensuring food and beverages meet specific nutrition criteria and for its support of breastfeeding policies and practices.

The Compact recognized 12 Colorado hospitals. Grand River was one of four to receive a Gold-level recognition. Three platinum, three silver and two bronze winners were also announced.

Compact Partner Hospitals lead by example as they implement measures designed to improve the quality of their nutrition environments. As Partners in the Compact, hospitals are publicly recognized for their accomplishments and gain access to a growing network of peer hospitals that are connected to the latest best practices and innovations in the national healthy hospital movement.
