Vanessa spent her early years in Germany, then moved to Michigan at 7 where she grew up in a suburb of Detroit. After finishing her undergraduate work at Michigan State University, she moved to Colorado for the sunshine, mountains and adventure. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing and Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree at University of Colorado. Wanting to be closer to the outdoor activities she enjoys she moved to Glenwood Springs in 2022. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing degree.
Vanessa enjoys being in a smaller community where she can get to know her patients on a personal level, building relationships with them, learning their stories and providing the entire lifecycle of care. In her spare time Vanessa enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, camping and spending time in the outdoors with her partner and their two dogs, a Poodle and an All-American rescue dog.
