Katie’s nomination letter:
Katie is simply amazing! She is everywhere during the day and knows all that is going on with our patients at Clinic West. She is proactive in assuring great patient experience and support for our medical providers. Katie happily fills in when our phlebotomist is out ill and gets involved in complex case management with the medical staff and MAs. Best of all, she consistently does so with a smile and cheery disposition. She is often heard saying “Team work makes dream work.”
She is very patient focused and solution oriented. Recently a patient had a CT contrast test scheduled in Rifle and the Rifle Radiology called her to remind her of some blood work needed before her test. The Patient came to clinic west, however there were no orders on file, and the MD who ordered the test was on vacation, as was his MA. Both Rifle and Clinic West Radiology were trying to obtain orders, as the ordering MD was out. Katie to the rescue! Katie looked up the patient and reviewed clinical history, quickly determined she had seen a provider at Clinic West in the past, and asked that MD to review and determine if he could order the labs. He could and did! Patient was very happy she could still have her test in Rifle. Thanks Katie, for always finding a solution!
