What our patients are saying about us

An Update from our CEO

Jim Coombs CEO

We, at Grand River Health, would like to extend our most sincere thanks to all of you in our community. You have selflessly answered the call for social distancing and the closing of your businesses.  We want to take a moment to recognize your heroism, as each of you have interrupted your daily lives and even jeopardized your businesses to help ensure the health and safety of one another.  We are immensely proud to be a part of this community. Please know your actions have and will make a huge difference.  Grand River Health wants you to know our staff have been taking steps since the beginning of the outbreak in the US to prepare for the worst, and doing everything we can to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, while still hoping the worst does not happen.

We are urging our Government officials to look now at the methods other countries have used to safely reverse their social distancing measures so we can get back to our normal productive lives when the pandemic begins to recede.

Our dedicated staff have appreciated the tremendous outpouring of support and have responded to the changing healthcare needs of our community with efficiency and the same compassionate care they have always delivered.  Our administration recognizes that our health care team faces the same risk and potential consequences seen elsewhere in the world, and would like to thank them for their dedication.

We take comfort in this…the pandemic will end.  Life will return to normal. And we are here to take care of this community, now and in the future.

Sincerely,
James Coombs
