June 8, 2023, Rifle Colo.: Grand River Health is thrilled to announce the appointment of Krista Adamson MHA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC as the organization’s new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). With a wealth of experience and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, Adamson brings a valuable blend of leadership, expertise, and innovation to the role.
As the CNO, Adamson will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations at Grand River Health, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care. With her extensive background in healthcare management, Adamson is well-equipped to collaborate with the nursing team, physicians, and other departments to enhance the overall patient experience and improve healthcare outcomes.
Originally from a small community in rural Pennsylvania, Adamson studied at Messiah College in Grantham, PA and completed her Maters of Health Administration at the University of Phoenix. Adamson comes to Grand River from Lancaster, PA where she served as the Director of Operations for Lancaster General Health’s Women’s Services. Prior to Lancaster she was the Vice President of Women’s & Neonatal Services at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Denver. She is excited to be back in Colorado and is enjoying the Colorado blue sky, sunshine and open spaces.
She lives in Rifle with her husband and 2 children. In her free time Krista likes to spend time in her garden, read, and bike ride. Her son is an avid rock climber and her daughter enjoys baking and is a young entrepreneur with a cupcake business.
