Lisa did her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, and is a recent graduate of the Yale PA program. She took a non-traditional route to medicine, starting her career as a Paramedic in the mountains of Colorado. Her experience spanned roles at the local hospital, within the community, and as a professional ski patroller on the local slopes. With a deep-seated commitment to rural and outdoor medicine, Lisa is equally dedicated to practicing and teaching in these environments. Her clinical interests focus on Family and Emergency Medicine, and extend to an interest in global health and disaster relief.
Outside of medicine, Lisa embraces her role as a devoted mother to three adventurous mountain kids. When not engaged in family life or professional pursuits, she can be found exploring the great outdoors through skiing, mountain biking, running, hiking, surfing, and traveling.
