Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Ms. Gonzalez-Ortega, moved to Colorado in 2000 at the age of 15. She enrolled at Colorado Mountain College in 2011 and began her medical education by obtaining her CNA certification. She then worked as a medical assistant while pursuing her ADN and BSN degrees. In 2024, she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Post University in Connecticut. She is Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Ms. Gonzalez-Ortega is excited to begin her practice at Grand River Health as a Family Nurse Practitioner after working as a Nurse, Clinic Manager and lastly as a RN in our Infusion Clinic. She is fully bilingual and bicultural and possesses a deep understanding of the Hispanic culture and is committed to providing culturally sensitive and accessible care to the Hispanic community. She is dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of the underserved. “I feel strongly that I have the passion, commitment, and the perseverance that it takes to excel as a Family Nurse Practitioner and be of great service to my community, especially because I am so very passionate about helping people in need.”
When not practicing medicine, Ms. Gonzalez-Ortega enjoys staying active through activities like working out, hiking, and reading. She is passionate about building meaningful connections within the community and is a proud mother of three and grandmother of one.
