Angela Durbin-Garfield APRN, PMHNP-BC
Angela Durbin-Garfield is an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing evidence-based compassionate care that includes psychopharmacologic treatment, psychoeducation, and psychotherapeutic modalities. She has over fourteen years combined experience working as a psychiatric nurse and psychiatric nurse practitioner in a variety of settings including in-patient, out-patient, and partial hospitalization.
Angela believes in individualized care focused on lifestyle modification and anxiety-reducing coping skills for improved mental and physical health. She specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders and her training includes a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Psychiatry from Texas Tech University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Houston.
Angela lives with her husband, Tim, an artist and designer. Originally from England, he has lived in the states for so many years that his personality is more of a hybrid between the two countries. It was actually Tim’s love of Colorado that reintroduced her to its beauty in adulthood and led them to move here. They share their house with their fur babies, whom they love dearly and spoil as much as possible.
