BOTOX injections for chronic migraine
If you are someone who is 18 or older, suffers from a headache 15 days per month and has tried at least 2 medications to prevent migraine, this treatment might be right for you.
Grand River Health is now offering BOTOX® injections as a treatment option for chronic migraine. This FDA-approved therapy is designed for adults who experience frequent, debilitating headaches and have not found relief with traditional treatments. Patients who have tried at least three preventive medications without success and experience 15 or more headache days per month, at least 8 of which are migraines, may be ideal candidates. Treatments are provided by Dr. Michael Vargas and Dr. Bonnie Walsh on Thursdays and Fridays in the Infusion Clinic.
