After Hours Care

After Hours Care is a high-quality, low-cost alternative to the Emergency Department for treating the following non life-threatening illnesses and injuries including:

  • Cuts and abrasions
  • Possible broken bones
  • Sprains and strains
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting without abdominal pain
  • Sinus pain
  • Eye irritation
  • Minor nose bleeds
  • Mild allergic reactions
  • Animal bites
  • Rashes
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Ear pain
  • Neck or back pain-not from injury
  • Urinary complaints
  • Minor burns
  • Upper respiratory infections
  • Cough
  • Toothaches

Open weekdays from 5:00 – 9:00 pm and weekends, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
No Appointments required.

If you are experiencing additional concerns, please go to the Emergency Department. After Hours Care is not intended to treat pregnancy, infants less than 3 months, coumadin patients, or work comp. It is not a replacement for your doctor. You will be treated and given instructions for follow up treatment with your physician.

The After Hours Clinic offers health care at a reasonable cost. Payment is requested at time of service. Grand River’s After Hours Clinic accepts insurance from all plans in which Grand River participates.

Please Note: After Hours Care healthcare providers cannot refill medications intended for the management of chronic pain. Please see your prescribing provider for these refills.

Your safety is our priority! Following evaluation, your healthcare provider may refer you to the Emergency Room, as appropriate.

If you have chest pain or shortness of breath (including asthma), or if you believe you have an emergency, please go directly to the Emergency Room!

Same Day Clinic

Now available from 12:00 – 4:00 pm in the 3rd floor Clinic through the Anvil Point Entrance at Grand River Health. Appointments are required and can be schuled by calling 970.625.1100.

Same Day Appointments are designed to accommodate those who need to see a provider quickly and cannot get into see their primary care provider or don’t currently have a primary care provider.
