Dr. Feeney has been a valued member of the Grand River Health care team since 2014. Originally from the Southeast, she moved to Colorado from Tennessee after spending most of her life in the region. Her clinical background spans pediatrics, internal medicine, nursing home care, hospice, and emergency medicine; experience that has shaped her comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care.
Dr. Feeney’s broad scope of practice extends beyond the exam room. She has helped develop Grand River Health’s palliative and hospice program and was part of the emergency department team that achieved Geriatric Accreditation. She currently serves as Pediatric Chair on the State Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Committee and is a board member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also actively involved in the COPPER program, supporting and advocating for children across Colorado, and is working toward Spanish fluency as part of her ongoing professional growth.
She joined Grand River Health from McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee, where she practiced pediatrics, internal medicine, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Feeney lives in the area with her husband, Ryan, and their four children. The Feeney family also shares a love for medical outreach to foreign countries, theater and music.
When asked what drew her to rural medicine, Dr. Feeney says, “Rural health care allows me to provide total patient care and be more involved in the community. It’s more personal. I grew up in the country, and I love this area and all it has to offer.”
What does she enjoy most about working at Grand River Health? “The wonderful medical community, helping my patients, and a more balanced lifestyle for myself and my family.”
