Building Bonds Beyond the Workday: Our Costume Contest Success!
We were thrilled to host our annual Costume Contest, and we couldn’t be prouder of the creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork our staff showcased. The event, held throughout the hospital, was more than just an opportunity to dress up; it was a celebration of our values. We believe that strong, supportive relationships between staff translate into exceptional care for patients. And judging by the buzz of laughter and applause that echoed through the halls, our team certainly understood the assignment.
Though every participant was a winner in our eyes, winners were chosen and honorable mentions were mentioned:
Materials Management took home the prize for “Best Department” with their roller coaster theme. They walked through the event in two lines, hands raised as if on a thrilling ride, complete with fake legs to add to the illusion. The level of coordination and attention to detail had everyone cheering!
Radiology came close with their fantastic portrayal of characters from the movie Dodgeball. Dressed in matching uniforms, they nailed the comedic and competitive energy of the film, showing off their playful side.
Brandi Dyer, a rehab attendant, took home the prize for “Best Individual” costume and wowed everyone as a gumball machine, complete with colorful “gumballs” that made her costume pop with vibrancy and charm.
Finally, Chavien Paget, our Care Center Director, melted hearts as the little boy from the movie Up, alongside a resident who joined as the iconic old man. Their heartfelt and humorous pairing reminded us of the connections we cherish across generations.
What made this event particularly special was seeing how it reinforced our team-oriented, patient-focused culture. Laughter and collaboration filled every corner of the Hospital, as staff who might not regularly cross paths bonded over shared moments of joy and creativity. It was a reminder that we’re all here for a common purpose: to provide compassionate, top-quality care to the community we love.
