Our mission here at Grand River Health is… To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
In order to improve the health and wellbeing of our community, Grand River Health’s Quality team is working on Hospital Transformation Programs. Please Join the Quality team on a Facebook Live on July 12th from 5:30-6:30p. Key points that will be discussed are: How we are helping to better serve our core populations, improving operational efficiency, decreasing cost of care, better coordination for behavioral health and substance abuse disorder, and more.
Melissa Obuhanick RN, BS, CPPS, CPHQ, CPHRM is the Director of Quality and Risk at Grand River Hospital District. Her responsibilities include working collaboratively with senior leadership, hospital leaders, physicians and frontline staff to reduce risk and promote quality patient care, experiences and safety. Her greatest professional achievement was when she started practicing as a Registered Nurse in 2007. As a Nurse and Director her values align with the six dimensions of healthcare quality: safe, effective, person-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. She has a passion to inspire those around her to apply the six dimensions of healthcare quality values and take them from good to great. The driving force behind the work that she performs is knowing the impact that it ultimately has on patient and their loved ones. Melissa’s greatest personal achievement are her three daughters. She loves raising them in a small rural community, where the mountains are out their doorstep.
