Melissa Obuhanick RN, BS, CPPS, CPHQ, CPHRM is the Director of Quality and Risk at Grand River Hospital District. Her responsibilities include working collaboratively with senior leadership, hospital leaders, physicians and frontline staff to reduce risk and promote quality patient care, experiences and safety. Her greatest professional achievement was when she started practicing as a Registered Nurse in 2007. As a Nurse and Director her values align with the six dimensions of healthcare quality: safe, effective, person-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
