Ashley Dorneden, MD

Dr. Ashley Dorneden is a boards-eligible otolaryngologist and head & neck surgeon who brings a genuine commitment to patient‑centered care to Grand River Health. She provides comprehensive otolaryngology care for both children and adults.

She was born and raised in New Mexico. After earning her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New Mexico, she completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. Finally, she received additional training in thyroid, parathyroid and oncologic surgery.

Driven by a desire to practice in the Mountain West and at a smaller, community-oriented clinic, Dr. Dorneden relocated to Colorado. She felt that Grand River would offer her the time to be able to listen and connect with her patients, which she feels is important because she believes every patient deserves not only world‑class care, but also the time and space to truly be heard. This approach to clinical care has proved critical to partnering with patients to craft a personalized treatment plan for a wide variety of conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Dorneden maintains an active lifestyle that keeps her connected to the rugged landscape she loves. You’ll often find her pushing through HIIT workout classes, carving fresh tracks on a snowboard, riding her bike or golfing with her husband. She lives in Colorado with her husband, their Australian‑Lab mix, Zion, and their cat, Belle.
