GRAND RIVER HOSPITAL DISTRICT BECOMES CAAS CERTIFIED!

What does this mean?

CAAS stands for “Certified Application Assistance Site.”  This means our organization is a community resource that can now assist community members to apply for state medical benefits such as Medicaid, and CHP Plus programs for children.

While this is a much needed service in our communities, it is especially helpful for citizens who may have limited mobility, or no access to Internet. Our certified staff can help individuals determine which benefits they qualify for, help complete the application and help navigate the documentation requirements.

How does it work?

Our CAAS certified technicians will sit with individuals to complete an initial assessment obtaining basic information such as demographics, income, household member review, and documentation verification. While our technicians do not makethe final determination, they assist in a much more streamlined and efficient process that can provide for a final decision is as little as 5 business days.
