Nila Anderson LMHC

Nila Anderson, LMFT

Nila Anderson is a licensed marriage and family therapist who brings warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to her work with both individuals and families. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from National University in San Diego, CA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and Sciences in Psychology from San Diego State University in San Diego, CA. After relocating from San Diego to Meeker in 2018, she has become a grounded and valued presence in the community.

Nila’s professional background includes experience with Mindsprings Health and in private practice. She specializes in supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and challenges in interpersonal relationships. Her therapeutic work spans a broad range of ages, from adolescents to the elderly.

Known for her empathetic heart and ability to hold space during life’s most sacred and vulnerable moments, Nila believes in the power of human connection—especially in times of hardship. She is continually inspired by the way rural communities come together when tragedy strikes. Her goal is that by working together, you can regain balance, rebuild resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

A recent patient stated “She has helped both of us identify where our issues rooted from connecting it to our childhood. Helped us understand why we might react a certain way to overcome it and work with it, if not change it. She
taught us we need to learn to compromise.”

Outside of her practice, Nila enjoys hiking in nature, walking her dog “Crazy,” and spending quality time with her husband and son, who attends CMU. A lifelong learner, she is passionate about personal growth and the healing power of presence.
