Taylor Rockaway, FNP-C
Taylor brings a unique blend of urban training and rural healthcare experience to her practice. Originally from Grapevine, Texas, Taylor moved to Colorado to pursue her education and professional calling. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and later completed a teaching degree at Metropolitan State University, where she taught high school before transitioning into nursing.
Taylor earned her nursing degree from Denver College of Nursing and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Regis University through a remote program with a strong focus on rural and underserved populations.
In 2020, Taylor began her clinical work on Colorado’s West Slope in the Emergency Department, where she quickly developed a passion for rural medicine. She joined Grand River Health in 2021 as a clinic nurse in Pediatrics and played a key role in helping develop the Care Management nurse team.
Drawn to the West Slope lifestyle, Taylor values the resilience and close-knit nature of rural communities. She believes healthcare providers are not just caregivers, but an integral part of the population they serve, and sees Grand River Health as the lifeblood of the region.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys whitewater rafting, spending time outdoors, and life on the West Slope with her husband, two daughters, chickens, and dog.
